POETRY SALON 2010 We're going to do it again! 2009's salon focused on advocacy. What should 2010's be about? Cultivating readers? Supporting writers? Or perhaps a reading theme like, say, "Rivers"? Please share ideas in the comments section below. |
With apologies to Magritte, the buffalo evoked the inaugural Montana Poetry Salon's central question: What exactly is this? And then: What is poetry's state of existence in Montana? In a place so geographically expansive, how do we form a poetry community? How do we stay in touch and in reach? How do we stay informed? How do we cultivate readers as well as writers? Yes, dear reader, the buffalo evoked all that. At the the salon we celebrated poetry advocacy, and, of course, enjoy some fine poetry Please join in the discussions: Reading Poetry Today and Challenges of Poetry Advocacy SITES OF INTEREST Lit Mags
