I'm active in the arts and humanities in Montana, and currently serve as vice-chair of the Montana Cultural and Aesthetic Trust. I write Tech Talk columns for the Montana Arts Council's newspaper State of the Arts.

I've received a photography fellowship from the Montana Arts Council, a research fellowship and a project grant from Humanities Montana and a research fellowship from The Charles Redd Center for Western Studies.

I've served as a panelist for the Montana Arts Council's organizational grant program and as a board member for Missoula Community Access Television.

Markratledge.com is my main web site for my writing, which includes my weekly Missoulian columns, Mac Q and A articles, and my forthcoming book titled The Falls Creek Grizzly. That site also outlines my information technology consulting work with Wordpress development and Web sites.

You can listen to clips from my CDs titled Eat Stone and Go On: The Recorded Poetry of Richard Hugo, funded by Humanities Montana and private donations.
