It's the season of wonderful appointments. Bruce Whittenberg, long-time member of Humanities Montana's Board of
Directors, has just been named Director of the Montana Historical Society in Helena. See the link below for Bruce's thoughts on leading this august, crucial cultural institution, born in 1865 in Virginia City. A quote near the end of the article captures his commitment to Montana's past and future:"It's not about dusty artifacts and stuff just by themselves-- it's, 'What does that mean to us?'"
