Missoula Public Library went "live" this week with a new product—the
Montana Authors Project—a web-based resource that brings some of your favorite regional literature to digital life. Check it out:
http://www.missoulapubliclibrary.org/map
The content was selected and designed by Karl Olson and Cara Cadena at Missoula Public Library. I did the web development, and the project was funded by Humanities Montana. There will be a panel about the Montana Authors Project this weekend at the Humanities Montana's Festival of the Book (Friday, 1:30pm, at the library; check the HM website for the full schedule of events:
http://www.humanitiesmontana.org)
There are many more great Montana books to "map." We hope to roll out another phase of the project in the future. If you think your library, school or museum would have an interest in collaborating, please contact Karl at
kolson@missoula.lib.mt.us.
